Shannon Baker-Branstetter
Legal Assistant

A native Northern Californian, Shannon Baker-Branstetter came to Washington D.C. for an internship with Nina Totenberg at National Public Radio after graduating from Yale University in 2001. She stayed in DC to intern with the Public Defender Service and Amnesty International before earning her Master's in Public Policy from U.C.L.A. Subsequently, she worked for the Government Accountability Office, the Department of Labor, Catholic Charities' Legal Network and most recently Consumers Union as a lobbyist for health care reform. Her favorite volunteer activities included monitoring Tamarins at the National Zoo and performing client intake at the Employment Justice Center Workers' Rights Clinic. Shannon is currently attending law school in the evening at Georgetown, and in her free time she enjoys playing soccer and exploring the great outdoors.
